Product Owner

Location: Recife, Brazil
Work hours: 40 / week (9 – 6pm Recife)
Type: Hybrid (3 times week in the office)

OBJECTIVE OF ROLE:

  • Ensuring that the Scrum team has a clear understanding of the product vision and goals,
    and communicate with stakeholders throughout the project

  • Collaborate with internal and external contacts to analyze needs and align product roadmap to strategic goals

  • Work closely with product managers and business teams to create and maintain product backlog according to business value or ROI

  • Remain up to date on trends and best practices for agile project management

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for innovation and end-to-end launch of products.

  • Plan and prioritize product development and product feature backlog

  • Develop detailed product feature specifications and ensure they’re clearly understood by relevant teams

  • Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics, and themes to ensure work aligns with product strategy

  • Mitigate roadblocks to achieving sprint/release goals

  • Lead the product-release plans and set expectations for delivery of new functionalities

  • Serve as product ambassador internally and externally, sharing knowledge and answering questions

  • Analyze the competition in order to make the product worthy of the global competition;

  • Lead Cost of Delay, Cost Benefit Analysis, Competitive analysis, ROI to identify usage scenarios;

  • Create User Stories, and lead Sprint Grooming, Product Roadmap sessions with the Agile labs;

  • Work with UX/UI colleagues with an increased maturity in Hi Fidelity mock-ups and build next gen Project Management niche software;

  • Participate in Scrum meetings and Product sprints;

  • Overseeing all stages of product creation including design and development.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline

  • 2+ years of experience hands on a software product owner (ideally SaaS)

  • Fluent in English both orally and in writing;

  • Knowledge of French is an asset;

  • Have a customer-oriented approach;

KEY SKILLS:

  • Experience in start-up environment

  • In-depth knowledge of agile methodology for project management

  • Understanding of business value related to features and functions

  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills
